Gemini-backed cryptocurrency payments processor Flexa has started helping American video game retailer GameStop start accepting cryptocurrency payments, including top coins like BTC, ETH, and LTC as well as meme-inspired cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu ($SHIB) and Dogecoin ($DOGE) at all of its U.S. locations.

According to an announcement on Twitter, Flexa is also adding support for new cryptocurrencies including Axie Infinity Shards (AXS), Smooth Love Potion (SLP), and Decentraland ($MANA).

The move will see GameStop start accepting payments made through Flexa’s SPEDN app. Notably, Regal Cinemas, a movie operator of more than 500 locations and 7,000 screens in the United States, started accepting payments in various cryptocurrencies through Flexa last month.

Flexa guarantees cryptocurrency transactions go through for real-world applications by leveraging its Amp ($AMP) token to power instant and secure transactions. Token holders “insure the value of any transfer” while it hasn’t yet been confirmed on the blockchain, allowing actions dependent on these transactions to be processed. If the Bitcoin network is congested at the time of payment, for example, Flexa ensures the payment goes through leveraging AMP as collateral.

AMP token holders are then rewarded for their funds being put at risk. Notably, in May of this year, Flexa helped a major restaurant and convenience store chain in the U.S. start accepting $DOGE and other cryptocurrencies as a payment method as well.

As CryptoGlobe reported, Flexa added support for Cardano’s $ADA this month to make it available as a payment method at over 40,000 locations.
