San Francisco headquartered FinTech firm Ripple, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last Thursday (October 20), is bringing its annual Swell conference to London this November, and it is raising awareness of its brand by placing ads at strategic locations in London’s two financial districts.

Ripple, which uses blockchain technology to allow “global financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers to move, manage and tokenize value”, had its 10th anniversary last week. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that the team celebrated the firm’s birthday at their latest All Hands meeting:

Yesterday (October 24), James Wallis, who is Ripple’s VP of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), spoke at a session titled “Money Reimagined in the Age of CBDCs”.

Interestingly, last November, UK’s new prime minister Rishi Sunak (who back then serving as the Chancellor of the Exchequer) was talking about CBDCs:

Next month (November 16-17, 2022), Ripple is coming to London for Swell Global, which is “Ripple’s annual flagship event that brings together the world’s most influential voices across crypto, blockchain, payments, financial services and economic policy.”
