Bitfinex Launches Social Media Platform Pulse to Give Traders Collective Market Edge

  • Crypto exchange Bitfinex is launching a new social platform called Pulse to allow traders to interact.
  • Users will be able to communicate and publish public and private "pulses" to share market information.

Crypto asset exchange Bitfinex has announced the launch of Bitfinex Pulse, a new social platform that will enable traders to exchange ideas and interact.

According to a press release shared with CryptoGlobe, Bitfinex is launching a new platform for users to interact and exchange information in the cryptocurrency community. The release calls the exchange of ideas and information an “integral” part of trading, dating back to the days of jacketed trading pits in stock exchanges.

Bitfinex Pulse is a new social network that provides the exchange’s client base the opportunity to leverage the community’s collective knowledge.

Paolo Ardoino, CTO at Bitfinex, called Pulse a “valuable” source of information and a fun way for traders to interact.

We have launched Bitfinex Pulse in response to the demand of our users for a professional content distribution platform for traders. Building on the success of the public leaderboard -- which has already created crypto icons on Twitter -- Bitfinex Pulse will foster the friendship and community spirit that makes Bitfinex a unique place to trade.

According to the release, Pulse will allow verified customers to interact while also giving clients control over whether their “pulses” are posted publicly. Both verified and unverified Bitfinex customers will have the opportunity to publish private pulses.

Users will select a nickname for their interactions, which can be the same as their current Leaderboard moniker. Users will also have the ability to share their public pulses online via Twitter and Facebook.
