The data shows the number of 0.1+ BTC wallets has grown steadily since the end of 2017’s bull run, with the 3 million wallet mark being broken earlier in the year. The accumulated wallets underwent a significant uptick over the last several months, as bitcoin drew broader mainstream attention for the halving.
Glassnode’s data also shows that the number of daily active bitcoin addresses is fluctuating between 800,000 - 900,000.
In addition to bitcoin, ethereum has also set a new record for the number of addresses with at least 0.1 ETH. According to Glassnode, ether hodlers have peaked at 2,984,080 wallets in recent days.
The analytics firm also reported ethereum gas usage had reached an all-time high, increasing more than 58 percent since the start of the year.
