Bitcoin Drops Below $7,000 for First Time Since December 18

According to data from CryptoCompare, at around 17:00 UTC on Thursday (January 2), Bitcoin fell below $7K:

As you can see form the one-month price chart shown below, this is the first time that Bitcoin has been below the $7,000 level since 18 December 2019:
