Coinfirm, Africa Blockchain and KAD ICT Hub take aim at fraudsters with AMLT Anti-Fraud System

On the continent that arguably stands to gain the most from cryptocurrencies, it is frustrating that the rapid growth in digital currencies has been accompanied by a concomitant increase in sophisticated scams. Fraudsters continue to take advantage of inexperienced individuals, such as the BTC Global scam in South Africa earlier this year where up to 28,000 people lost a combined $80-million.

In order to mitigate the risks going forward, Coinfirm along with KAD ICT Hub are implementing their AMLT Network into the Africa Blockchain Lab, and aims to create a safer cryptocurrency economy by training members to be vigilant and report suspicious activities such as ransomware, phishing, cryptojacking, and other online scams. Members who do are rewarded with AMLT tokens that can be used to purchase discounted AML risk reports and other Coinfirm solutions.
