Hard Forks

Bitcoin Gold (BTG):

Following a 51% hack in May, the BTG project’s team decided to upgrade its network via a hard fork in order to improve network security. This is expected to occur at block 536200 (Est. Date: 1st July). The upgrade will implement the Equihash-BTG PoW algorithm as a replacement for the existing Equihash algorithm, among other changes.

TechCrunch will produce the event with support from the Ethereum Foundation and other members of the Ethereum community the day after the TC Sessions: Blockchain event. London Fintech Week

The 5th Annual London Fintech Week starts next week, bringing together a series of key industry speakers across several areas within the Fintech space.
