Global cryptocurrency prices have been posting big gains during the last 24 hours, with Bitcoin moving above the $8,000 mark for the first time since March, according to Cryptocompare.

Nine coins from the top 10 coins by 24-hour volume posted a positive change, ranging from 9.7% to 25.3%. Litecoin ($129), Bitcoin Cash ($760) and Tronix ($0.041) recorded a gain of around 14%. Ethereum Classic ($16.34) and DASH ($377) showed gains of 17.81% and 21.83% respectively, while Huobi Token ($1.88) posted a loss of 10.8% in the last 24 hours.

At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is sitting at $8,103 representing a gain of 18.12% in the last 24 hours. More than $1.7 B worth of BTC were exchanged in the BTC/USD market representing a 27% share of the global daily volume. The biggest Bitcoin pair is the BTC/JPY pair, that represents a 48% share.
ETH
The Ethereum price posted a gain of 20.85% over the past 24 hours and is currently sitting at $512.99, with over $540 M worth of Ether exchanged in the past 24 hours on the ETH/USD pair, which has a 38% market share of the daily trading volume. The ETH/BTC pair represents a 24% share.
XRP
At the time of writing, the Ripple price is sitting at $0.64 representing a gain of 25.25% in the last 24 hours. More than $160 M worth of XRP were exchanged in the XRP/USD market representing a 21.4% share of global daily volume. The XRP/KRW pair represents the biggest pair with a 38% share.
