Both exchanges are withdrawing previously filed applications with Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) which they solicited approval to launch services. The Bitcoin price has dropped below the $7,600 mark for the first time since March 19th.

Earlier today, the price of bitcoin dropped to $7,550, after peaking at $8,100 less than 24 hours ago. Throughout the past 8 hours, sell volumes increased across all major cryptocurrency exchanges, and the market was probably affected by the spike in volumes in the US Bitcoin futures market operated by the CME Group and the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe).

Ontology (-17% at $2.01) recorded the biggest loss in the last 24 hours. Litecoin ($119) and Bitcoin Cash ($759) posted losses of around 14%, while Ripple ($0.53) and Ethereum Classic ($15.25) showed losses of around 7.5%. Huobi Token ($1.58) posted a gain of 7.42% in the last 24 hours.
