The MVIS CryptoCompare Top 100 Index has dropped 11.39% in the last 24 hours to 3,085.92
Yesterday, an international group of central bank regulators and government ministers said that cryptocurrencies don’t pose a risk to global financial stability. The Financial Stability Board chairman Mark Carney, who also leads the Bank of England, said that the organization doesn’t see the tech as a threat:
“The FSB's initial assessment is that crypto-assets do not pose risks to global financial stability at this time. This is in part because they are small relative to the financial system.”
Top 10
Almost every coin from the top 10 coins by 24-hour volume posted a positive change, ranging from 2% to 13.2%, in the last 24 hours. DASH (-1.33% at $375) was the only coin from the top 10 that showed a loss in the last 24 hours.
Bitcoin Cash ($934) showed a gain of 2.13% in the last 24 hours, while Ethereum Classic ($16.9) and EOS ($4.70) posted a gain of around 8%. NEO ($65) and Tronix ($0.03) recorded the biggest gains, in the last 24 hours, of 13.2% and 15.2% respectively.
BTC
At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is sitting at $8,274 representing a gain of 6.16% in the last 24 hours. More than $1.5 B worth of BTC were exchanged in the BTC/USD market representing a 27.5% share of global daily volume. The BTC/JPY pair represents the biggest pair with a 47.2% share.
ETH
The Ethereum price posted a gain of 2.57% over the past 24 hours and is currently sitting at $532, with over $670 M worth of Ether exchanged in the past 24 hours on the ETH/USD pair, the largest Ethereum pair, which has a 42% market share of the global daily trading volume.
XRP
At the time of writing, the Ripple price is sitting at $0.64 representing a gain of 6.86% in the last 24 hours. More than $120 M worth of XRP were exchanged in the XRP/USD market representing a 20% share of global daily volume. The XRP/KRW pair represents the biggest pair with a 48.6% share.
LTC
The Litecoin price has risen 5.42% over the past 24 hours and is currently sitting at $155, with more than $150M worth of LTC exchanged in the past 24 hours on the LTC/USD pair, the largest Litecoin pair, which has a 37% market share of the global daily trading volume.
