Yesterday, Binance’s CEO Changpeng Zhao, said that a decentralized exchange will be launched and will operate alongside its existing exchange. In addition to facilitating the trade of digital assets, the DEX will likely operate as a launchpad for new coins and ICOs.
“As a public blockchain, Binance Chain will mainly focus on the transfer and trading of blockchain assets, as well as provide new possibilities for the future flow of blockchain assets. Binance Chain will focus on performance, ease-of-use, and liquidity. Binance Coin (BNB) will be upgraded to exist on its own blockchain mainnet, becoming a native coin. At the same time, Binance will transition from being a company to a community.”

Seven coins from the top 10 coins by 24-hour volume showed a negative change, ranging from 0.76 to 15.53%, in the last 24 hours. Bitcoin Cash ($1,047) and Binance Coin ($10.36) were the only two coins that showed a gain of 0.83% and 29.8% respectively. EOS ($5.85) showed a 0% change on the last 24 hours.
Ripple ($0.77) recorded a 0.76% negative change over the last 24 hours, while Tronix ($0.036) and Ethereum Classic ($19.89) posted a loss of 1.44% and 3.54% respectively. The coin that had the biggest loss (-15.53%) was Nucleus Vision, that is currently sitting at $0,036 with a total volume of 123M.

At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is sitting at $9,138 representing a loss of 1.71% in the last 24 hours. More than $1.1 B worth of BTC were exchanged in the BTC/USD market representing a 23.7% share of global daily volume. The BTC/JPY pair represents the biggest pair with a 55.2% share.
ETH
The Ethereum price posted a loss of 1.85% over the past 24 hours and is currently sitting at $691, with over $180M worth of Ether exchanged in the past 24 hours on the ETH/USD pair, which has a 29% market share of the global daily trading volume. The ETH/BTC pair represents the biggest pair with a 42% share.
LTC
The Litecoin price has dropped 2.13% over the past 24 hours and is currently sitting at $174, with more than $80M worth of LTC exchanged in the past 24 hours on the LTC/USD pair, which has a 29.4% market share of the global daily trading volume. The LTC/BTC pair represents the biggest pair with a 40% share.
BCH
The Winklevoss twins have announced plans for their crypto exchange Gemini, to begin trading Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) this year. At present, Gemini only trades Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Tyler Winklevoss stated:
“The expansion of Gemini’s offerings will be from the Satoshi Nakamoto family tree – Bitcoin cash, Litecoin.”
