The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has allowed its employees to invest in cryptocurrencies, according to a Bloomberg report. The CFTC’s general counsel, Daniel Davis, gave the go-ahead in a memo earlier in February, allegedly in response to many inquiries from employees about whether they could invest and trade cryptocurrencies. According to Bloomberg, members of the agency are still prohibited from crypto futures or margin trading, and also from using inside information collected through their jobs.

Over the past 24 hours, the global cryptocurrency market has managed to maintain stable at the $450 billion mark. Regarding the top 10 coins by 24-hour volume, Tronix ($0.044) showed the biggest gain of 6.99%, while Huobi Token ($2.27) has posted the biggest loss of 3.41%. Bitcoin Cash ($1,286) showed a significant gain of 5.44%, with a total 24-hour volume of $274M. Both Ripple ($0.9) and Digix DAO ($553) recorded losses of around 0.3%, while NEO ($130) posted a loss of 2.34%.
