Discovering the HTC Exodus 1 Blockchain Phone

HTC has just announced the early access pre-order period for their first-ever blockchain phone. According to its manufacturers, the HTC Exodus 1 is a blockchain-encrypted phone that offers easy access to security-based and decentralized apps and the phone actually acts as its own blockchain node.

The HTC Exodus 1 comes equipped with a secure enclave that allows the phone’s chip to be separated from the in-phone Android operating system. This is a feature made by SoftBank’s Arm Holdings aims to keep your crypto-assets safe and secure.

HTC’s decentralize chief officer, Phil Chen told the CNBC news network that the phone has lines of code that are referred to as private keys that are only known by the owner of the cryptocurrency thus protecting their funds.

Think of it as a micro OS that runs in parallel with Android. It basically is a wallet, but the wallet, what it does is hold your private keys.

Another security feature for crypto-users is the Social Key Recovery mechanism that allows you to authorize a few of your most trusted contacts who will hold a section of your crypto keys so you can retrieve your crypto in case you lose or break your phone.
